Now that এর ব্যবহার

এখন যখন বাংলাদেশ চীন থেকে কয়েকটি যুদ্ধবিমান কেনার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে ফেলেছে, ভারত এ ব্যাপারে খুব একটা খুশি নয়।  = Now that Bangladesh has decided to buy a few military aircrafts from China, India isn't exactly happy about it.

(পিতা অথবা মাতা যদি সন্তানকে উদ্দেশ্য করে বলেন) বাবা/মা, তুমি তো পাশ করেই ফেলেছো, এখন একটা চাকুরি খোঁজো। = Kiddo/Sonny, now that you've graduated (passed from college), please look for a job.

তুমি এসেই যখন পড়েছো, তো দয়া করে আমার এই কাজটা করে দাও। = Now that you've come here, please do this job for me.

তুমি যখন এটা জেনেই ফেলেছো, তোমাকে আরেকটা গোপন কথা শেয়ার করি। = Now that you have learned (come to know) this, let me clue you in another secret.

(আমাদের) সিদ্ধান্ত যখন নেয়া হয়ে গেছে, তো আর দেরি করা উচিত নয়। = Now that we’ve decided, we should not delay anymore.

আমরা যখন রক্ত দিতে শিখেছি, দরকার হলে রক্ত আরো দেব। = Now that we’ve learnt to sacrifice blood, we will sacrifice it even more, if needed.

আমরা যখন মরতে শিখেছি, কেউ আমদেরকে দমিয়ে রাখতে পারবে না। = Now that we have learned to die, nobody will be able to hold us down/suppress us.

(একটি বাংলাদেশী নাটকে অভিনেত্রী নাজনিন নিহা, মুশফিক ফারহানকে) ক্রাশ তো আমি খাইছি, বিয়ে তো তোমার আমাকেই করতে হবে। = Now that I've had a crush (on you), you've got to marry none other than me.

রাজাকার যখন বলেই ফেলেছেন, তাহলে তো এই দেশে থাকার অধিকার আমাদের আর নেই, তাই না? (এই বাক্যটা কোথায় যেন শুনেছিলাম) = Now that you've called me a 'volunteer', we don't have the right to live in this country any longer, do we?

আর্জেন্টিনার প্রেসিডেন্ট যখন ইসরাইলের স্বাধীনতা দিবসের অনুষ্ঠানে সশরীরে যোগদান করেই ফেলেছেন, এখন আর্জেন্টিনা ফুটবলের বাংলাদেশী সমর্থকেরা দোটানায় পড়ে গেছেন (আদৌ সমর্থন অব্যাহত রাখবেন কিনা)। = Now that the Argentine president has attended the Independence Day program of Israel in person, the Bangladeshi supporters of Argentine football are in a dilemma (as to whether they should continue supporting or not).
